The wheels are the lightest in the test field, which is also noticeable in the overall weight. The Race Sport moves light-footedly uphill, and the good rolling characteristics of the Continental tyres are an additional boost. On the twisty trails of our test lap, the 27.5er impressed with its confident handling, but the weak steel suspension fork, which lacks both sensitivity and a damping adjustment option, limits the riding fun. The narrow handlebars also provide only moderate safety. It's a shame that the unconventionally shaped chainstays pull far down at the end, so that the rear derailleur rattles very loudly when you hit it, which has annoying potential! Long-distance tourers might also be annoyed by the lack of threads for a second bottle cage. The lightest uphill gear is limited by a small cassette and large chainrings.
Conclusionagile 27.5-inch bike with light wheels and mediocre equipment.
PLUS Light, agile, good tyres
MINUS Rattling rear derailleur, fork, narrow handlebars
