Race bike with touring ambitions: Storck Rebel.4 Pro on test
At 3899 euros, Storck offers the cheapest overall package in the test. Considering the price, the equipment is impressive across the board.

Shimano XT components and a carbon frame and wheels - it's a perfect match. And the cable integration in the headset also gives a high-quality impression. The geometry is in tune with the times and fulfils all expectations of a modern race hardtail. The seat angle is steep, the steering angle is slack and the reach is also average at 452 millimetres. However, a glance at the weight table extinguishes any hopes of a leading position at the start sprint. This is because the Rebel.4 Pro weighs in at a hefty 10.6 kilos, making it heavier than many of the fullys in the test.

Conclusion on the Storck Rebel.4 Pro:

Peter Nilges, BIKE Test Leader: With Storck you get a lot of bike for your money. However, details such as the inconsistent cockpit spoil the overall picture. With its touring-orientated equipment, the Rebel feels much more at home on long tours than on the race track.

This applies in particular to the tests in BIKE. We don't charge for them, but the opposite is the case: we do charge for them - tens of thousands of euros every year.
