Poison Lithium T XT
The Lithium from Poison is a stiff banger with lightweight wheels; only the high front end costs points in terms of handling.

The in-house stored lightweight wheels catapult the Poison 29er to the top of the weight rankings - despite the frame weighing 2.1 kilos. Together with the flawless XT drivetrain, the outstanding XT stoppers and the carbon components from FSA, the test victory seems as good as in the bag. However, the high front end and the comfortable riding position not only cost unnecessary energy on steep climbs, but also prevent you from getting any real pressure on the front wheel on downhills. This and the low-profile Racing Ralph tyres require more effort from the rider on downhills. However, this should not be a problem for sporty riders. They appreciate the aluminium frame because of its high stiffness values and the thru-axle on the Reba fork. Tip: Turn the stem and move the spacers upwards.

Conclusion: Stiff, banging equipment with lightweight wheels; only the high front costs points in handling.

PLUS Flawless Shimano XT groupset, carbon add-on parts, lightweight wheels
MINUS High front, heavy frame
