Corratec has given its X-Vert aluminium hardtails the biggest update for 2017. The frame has been given a slightly bent top tube to absorb impacts on the front wheel with less stress. In addition, the top tube has been shortened slightly for a more comfortable riding position (602 millimetres for size M). The rest of the geometry remains largely the same as last year. In terms of equipment, Corratec is increasingly focussing on Rotor cranks with oval chainrings to make pedalling more efficient. In total, there will be four 29-inch models and four models with 27.5-inch wheels between 800 and 1600 euros. There will also be a women's model with a shorter top tube and 29er wheels for 800 euros.
A new frame shape has saved 280 grams of weight on the carbon Revolution hardtail. According to Corratec, the frame in size M now weighs 980 grams. The new Revolution models will be available from October.
Corratec has left the frame of the XTB fully with 175 millimetres of suspension travel unchanged, only the equipment has been adapted. In 2017, the enduro bike is decelerated by Magura's MT7 stoppers and the rim width of the Zzyzx wheels has been increased from 23 to 25 millimetres.
