The new Ninety.Nine is one of the few fullys that is also capable of winning in the World Cup.

In the individual test, Merida's top model was immediately convincing (BIKE 10/11->), the "super" judgement is also confirmed in comparison to the competition. Just behind Scott on points, the bike confirms that the development of a race full-suspension bike absolutely requires a racing team that is involved in the development. The suspension can be locked from the handlebars, the equipment is exquisite and chosen with a view to winning (or in line with the team sponsors). The Ninety.Nine is a super fast, agile and manoeuvrable sports bike. It whizzes round corners like no other, but needs an expert hand on the handlebars in technical terrain. It's not a cruiser like the GT, as the riding position makes clear. That's the price you have to pay (apart from the 7699 euros). For marathons, you should take the edge off the bike (cockpit, tyres).

The two lockout levers are practical, but the cockpit looks overloaded.Photo: Daniel Simon The two lockout levers are practical, but the cockpit looks overloaded. The fork and shock can be locked out from the handlebars, which racers love. The rear suspension is superior to the fork, goes into progression later and utilises more travel. Lowering the fork to 64 millimetres only makes sense on very steep ramps. The bike would be conceivable for marathons (and more comfort) with a slightly longer fork.Photo: BIKE Magazin The fork and shock can be locked out from the handlebars, which racers love.
