Marin Team Issue
Light-footed cross-country classic with a filigree Scandium frame and good propulsion. Still a thoroughbred sports bike.

Like almost all manufacturers in the early years, Marin also favoured steel in 1988. The fact that the scandium tubeset of the current limited "Team Issue" remains under ten kilos is the result of continuous further development. Nevertheless, the frame is solid in terms of stiffness and allows the greatest flex in the comfort rating. The fork travel, on the other hand, is less comfortable. With a classically short 80 millimetres of travel and agile steering geometry, the focus is clearly on racing. Considering the price, not only the complete "XTR" equipment is impressive. Unattractive: the open cables under the bottom bracket.

CONCLUSIONS: Light-footed cross-country classic with a filigree Scandium frame and good propulsion. Still a thoroughbred sports bike.
