A true classic from the cult brand Marin, the current Indian Fire Trail rolls down the trails with its hydroformed frame and attractive design. With a convincing Fox fork, wide tyres, wide 650 mm handlebars and XT components, there is nothing to complain about in terms of equipment. The long top tube ensures a sporty riding position, while the thin 27.2 millimetre carbon seatpost allows for a pleasantly noticeable flex. The only downer: the open cable routing under the bottom bracket.
CONCLUSIONS: A bike for having fun. Sensible equipment and convincing riding characteristics give the Marin a wide range of uses.
TUNING TIP: Mount the anti-twist quick-release saddle clamp.
