Giant, the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world, founded the brand in 2008. Liv Cycles. Since then, Liv has been one of the first and only cycling brands to produce bikes exclusively for women. For 2023, they are expanding their portfolio with an aluminium trail hardtail.
Geometry and special features of the Liv Lurra
The steep seat angle of 76-76.5 degrees is designed to give the rider more efficiency and speed on climbs and flat terrain. The reach in size S is 406 millimetres long. The steering angle of 66 degrees paired with the 438 millimetre long chainstay give the bike a stable yet playful ride feel.
The Liv Lurra has been fitted with the in-house Giant Crest 34 RCL fork with 130 millimetres of travel. The bike also has a telescopic seat post. This means you can also get down to business on technical single trails. The Lurra is also supplied tubeless-ready. This means that a lower tyre pressure can be used to increase traction on slippery surfaces. The Liv hardtail is available in sizes XS and S on 27.5 inch tyres. The Taiwanese company also uses 29-inch tyres in S, but also in frame sizes M and L. The tyre width stops at 2.6 inches for the 27.5 inch models and 2.5 inches for the 29 inch versions.

To ensure that the Liv Lurra is ready for all your adventures, Liv has fitted mounts for two water bottle holders. Another mount is attached to the underside of the top tube. This allows the rider to stow a small frame bag for tools. For a clean look and optimum protection of the cables, the Lurra trail hardtail uses internal cable routing.

For the time being, there will only be one version of the hardtail for women - the Liv Lurra 2 for 1399 euros. Liv has given the Lurra its lightweight Aluxx SL-grade aluminium frame. In addition to the Giant Crest fork and the Giant Contact Switch dropper post, the bike is equipped with two-piston Tektro brakes. For the gears, Liv relies on a Shimano Deore 10-speed drivetrain with a range of 11-46 teeth. The Liv Lurra will be available from dealers from summer 2023.
