The Cube Reaction is by far the sportiest hardtail in this comparison. At a price of 1499 euros, the giant from Waldershof even manages to specify a lightweight carbon frame. At 1254 grams, the C:62 frame is not only extremely light, but also the only one made of carbon fibre among the assembled aluminium competition. This suits the cross-country attitude of the Cube and makes the racer 1.2 kilos lighter than its nearest rival. The comfort of the frame is also in a good range. But even an industry giant like Cube can't work magic, which is why the equipment with a Sram SX/NX drivetrain and SR Suntour fork is rather meagre.
The Cube Reaction C:62 is not only the lightest, but also the sportiest bike in the test. This makes it predestined for cross-country use. Downhill, however, there are stronger hardtails.
