The sporty, stretched racing position runs through the entire Austrian bike range. The Race 2.29 is no exception with its position based on a racing bike. The sensible, flawless SLX groupset can be found from the hubs to the brakes and impresses with its precision and modulation. Only the 2036 gram frame and the overweight wheels (4835 grams) do not match the marathon image of the smooth-running KTM. When climbing, the slack seat angle (71.6 degrees) prevents top marks, and on technical trails you first have to get used to the unconventionally curved handlebar shape. But visually, the Austrians have harmonised the Race 2.29 down to the last detail.
