The stack, i.e. the vertical distance from the bottom bracket to the top of the head tube, is very long and the horizontal reach is too short. This makes the bike look squat and the front end is very high up. This effect is further emphasised by the handlebars being pulled far upwards. As a result, you sit very upright and build up little pressure on the front wheel. As a result, the bike tends to understeer early on loose surfaces. The Yamaha drive unit cuts a fine figure and has a wide-spread gear ratio. However, the range is quite short due to the 400 watt-hour battery.
ConclusionAs an affordable bike in the test, a good choice for moderate tours and comfort-orientated bikers. You have to accept compromises when it comes to off-road performance.
