"For trail riders who are looking for a little support on climbs or long distances" is how Fuji itself describes the target group for its e-bikes. The e-hardtail will be marketed under the name E-Ambient from next autumn. Although the bike still looks very much like a cross bike in the current pictures, this is not the intention. 2.25 Rocket Rons and a 100 millimetre fork want to say: "I am a mountain bike."
Like most other manufacturers, Fuji also relies on the Bosch CX motor for the new generation. The unit spits out a full 75 Newton metres of torque as peak power. This guarantees optimum acceleration even on steep terrain. The Fuji Ambient will be available in three different equipment variants, each in 29 or 27.5 inches. Prices range between 2599 and 3999 euros, depending on the model.
