Frame breakage: Norco Havoc recall
Norco is recalling 2011 models of the Havoc dirt bike. The frame of the bikes can break in the headset area.

As part of a "voluntary safety campaign", Norco is recalling the 2011 Havoc 26″ red and Havoc 24″ grey models. The frames of the affected bikes can crack in the headset area and, in extreme cases, break completely.

Bikes with the following frame numbers are affected (first 4 or 5 digits are decisive): K10DQ ..., K10IQ ..., K10FQ ..., K10KQ ..., P11B ..., P10F ..., P10K ...

Owners of these models are asked to leave their bikes immediately and contact their nearest Norco dealer. They will replace the frame free of charge, regardless of whether it is already cracked or not.

All information on the recall and processing as well as a corresponding exchange application can be found on the Norco homepage HERE =>

Sebastian Brust was born in 1979 and was originally socialised on his grandmother's folding bike, but has mainly been riding studded tyres since his fifth birthday. Loves all kinds of bikes - and merging with nature. Believes that disc brakes are much safer today than they were 15 years ago and thinks he has helped with his brake and pad tests. However, the trained vehicle technology engineer very much regrets that the bicycle industry is orientating itself on what he considers to be the wrong ideals of the car industry. At BIKE, he corrects, produces and organises digital content on the website.
