However, the EQ version with mudguards, pannier rack and lighting system makes the bike the perfect everyday car replacement. The Tero has borrowed its motor from the sporty Levo: Specialized 2.2 with hardware from Brose's SMag, plus a battery with 710 or 530 watt hours (depending on the equipment variant), which can be easily removed from the down tube and locked. The smart features of the Levo are also taken over by the latest Turbo offspring. Mission Control app, fine-tuning of the U-levels and wireless updates, for example.
The Tero also comes with a completely new feature on top: the Turbo System Lock. The motor can be completely deactivated and a vibration alarm activated via app or remote lever - theft protection à la Specialized.
There will be three equipment variants of the Turbo Tero, the middle one optionally also with full equipment.
Prices: It starts at 3300 euros for the Tero 3.0, the top model Tero 5.0 costs 5400 euros and has the most pronounced trail genes of the range with a Tele seatpost, Sram G2 brakes and Rockshox Recon fork.
Wheel size/suspension travelAll variants roll on 29x2.35 tyres and offer 110 millimetres of fork travel. The 3.0 and 4.0 are also available with a lower top tube.
