It wasn't down to the gear ratio: 15 sprockets at the front and an 11-42 cassette provide a suitable range and were not a unique selling point in the test field. The Reaction is aimed at riders who like it sporty without "lying" stretched out on the bike. With this concept, the Cube achieves a very decent performance on tough climbs, but also copes well with demanding downhill terrain. The shortcoming in both disciplines was the traction of the Schwalbe Rocket Ron tyres. Despite the rather long wheelbase, the bike corners very willingly and offers agile handling.
Conclusionbalanced bike with good equipment and a particularly powerful Bosch CX drive in the test.
