Commencal Meta HT V3: Trail hardtail from Andorra - now even more versatile
With the Meta HT V3, Commencal presents the latest generation of its popular hardtail. When developing the successor, the main focus was on optimising riding comfort without losing the DNA that has made the Meta HT the reference in its category. The completely redesigned aluminium frame is characterised by several innovative design features that are specifically tailored to the requirements of a modern trail hardtail.
Completely redesigned frame for more comfort
Particularly striking are the curved and rounded seat stays, which are connected directly to the top tube - without any bracing in between. According to the manufacturer, this design should offer an unrivalled level of comfort for a hardtail. The 29-inch wheels in combination with wide tyres (up to 67 millimetres wide) also contribute to the riding comfort. For frame size S, Commencal uses a 27.5-inch rear wheel to maintain manoeuvrability and ensure sufficient tyre clearance, especially on steep terrain.
Modern geometry for more self-confidence
The geometry of the Meta HT V3 was specially developed for the special requirements of a hardtail, as its handling behaviour is fundamentally different from that of a full-suspension bike. The reach has been extended slightly to offer more stability without restricting agility. With a steering angle of 64.5 degrees (65.8 degrees for size S), the Meta HT V3 should enable confident line choice on any trail and at the same time ensure good grip on the front wheel on flatter trails.
The steeper seat angle of 75.5 degrees (76.8 degrees for size S) improves pedalling efficiency uphill. In sizes L and XL, the seat tube has been shortened to allow more freedom of movement on the bike. With 430 millimetre short chainstays (425 millimetres for size S), the playful character of a hardtail should still be retained.
Sophisticated details for more everyday practicality
The Meta HT V3 benefits from numerous aesthetic and above all functional improvements. A new wide and effective down tube protector protects the frame from stone chips. The special chainstay protector made of two-layer material reduces noise and offers excellent frame protection. In addition, a chain impact guard is fitted ex works to protect the chainstay from damage.
The frame also has two mounting points for bottles or tools, including a pre-installed Fidlock mount. The new head tube allows the use of offset headsets. The brake calliper mount is protected between the seat and chain stays. The frame is now UDH-compatible and can be combined with the latest Sram T-Type drivetrains. The bottom bracket retains the BSA standard for easier maintenance.
Focus on reliability
Because the reliability of its products is always a priority for Commencal, the Meta HT V3 has been tested by EFBE, an independent laboratory, in addition to its own tests. The Meta HT V3 frame is therefore EFBE 5 certified. This classification, which applies specifically to gravity and e-bike applications, is the highest possible rating for a mountain bike in terms of reliability and resistance. Commencal emphasises its confidence in the quality of the frame with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects for the first owner. In addition, the developers from Andorra remain committed to aluminium as a frame material: it is a high-performance material that is infinitely recyclable and sustainable.

With 150 millimetres of travel at the front and modern geometry, it is equipped for both technical trails and bike park use. Trails, enduro, bike park or even pump track - the Meta is designed to master all types of mountain biking.
Model variants and availability
Commencal currently offers the Meta HT V3 in two versions: As a complete bike in the Signature version in Pure White or as a frameset. The signature version comes with high-quality components and is available in sizes S, M and L. The frame alone is also painted in Pure White and is available in sizes S, M and L. The complete bike is priced at 3173 euros, while the frame is available for 743 euros. Depending on the frame size, the Meta HT has different wheel combinations for riding behaviour adapted to each size. Size S has a mullet configuration (29/27.5 inches), while sizes M, L and XL are equipped with a complete 29-inch wheelset.
