The Koblenz-based mail order company has completely converted its most affordable hardtail line to 29ers - starting at 800 euros.

The compact, not overly sporty geometry and smooth handling make a great riding impression. At the front, the Reba fork with lockout remote absorbs bumps with ease. A crisp shift command (SLX shifter) moves the chain over the sensibly geared triple cranks. Most important for an agile riding impression, however, are the 4185 gram light wheels, to which the Conti tyres with Black Chili compound provide powerful damping and grip. You can also delay the braking point until the very last moment, as the Elixir 5 stoppers grip firmly. Details such as a sporty padded saddle and ergonomic screw-in grips round off the harmonious overall package and open up a wide range of uses for the owner: from winter training bike to leisurely touring hardtail.

ConclusionAll-round carefree package with a wide range of applications, great handling and good equipment.

PLUS Balanced geometry, good-natured handling, good equipment
MINUS Very compact for people with a long upper body
