With the exception of the less practical tyres, the Flash seems to have been cast from a single mould. Absolutely unbeatable in combination with fast legs.

As a superlative racer, the Cannondale Flash rightly bears its model name. The Flash hit us in many ways. On the one hand, at just 7.55 kilograms, the Flash steals the show even from most racing bikes, and that with disc brakes and a 110-millimetre Lefty suspension fork. On the other hand, the price of 8,000 euros is almost speechless and thus reduces the target group of potential buyers to a minimum.

With so much gravel, we also asked ourselves the question: Is the price of this hardtail justified?

The feeling after the first few metres in the saddle is a definite "yes", but the mind screams "never". Equipped with everything that is very good and expensive, the Flash, which has been thoroughly styled from front to back, is literally racing ahead. Despite its high stiffness - with a record STW value of over 100 - the flattened seat post offers very good comfort. From SRAM's XX groupset to the perfectly functioning Lefty fork, the Flash offers its rider maximum support. The only criticism came from the seatpost clamp, which was not very tight and twisted at the recommended tightening torque.

CONCLUSIONExcept for the less practical tyres, the Flash seems to be made of one piece. Absolutely unbeatable in combination with fast legs.
