Slightly overweight hardtail with touring-suitable geometry but short suspension travel.
If you don't like bright colours and anodised screws, you'll really enjoy the matt black F2. The Cannondale comes with its own Headshock fork for a clean look. It is quite stiff, but has little suspension travel. The riding position is comfortable with a moderate length, while the wide handlebars ensure confident control downhill. Due to the favourable equipment - especially heavy wheels - the F2 is the heaviest bike in the test.
CONCLUSION: Slightly overweight hardtail with touring-suitable geometry but short suspension travel.
TUNING TIP: Chainstay protector and lighter wheels.
