Accelerates like a race bike, offers the riding comfort of a touring hardtail: the Bulls Copperhead 29 Plus is one of the best in its class.

The frame geometry is close to that of team rider Karl Platt's Black Adder, but the Copperhead 29 offers much more comfort. The cosy riding position is also due to the heavily offset handlebars. If you prefer more saddle rise, you should place the spacers over the stem and mount a flat bar. In our experience, Bulls doesn't leave anything to chance when it comes to equipment: Shimano XT groupset with matching crank gearing, sensitive Reba fork and high-quality Schwalbe tyres. However, the centrepiece is the new Bulls hollow chamber rims, which enable stiff, lightweight wheels weighing 4176 grams. They respond to every acceleration with immediate propulsion. The groupless Shimano brakes decelerate flawlessly and come very close to a Deore. For heavy riders, thru-axles would make sense, but the Copperhead 29er doesn't have them.

PLUS Large brake discs, reliable equipment, lightweight wheels
MINUS Saddle shape (you get stuck), no thru axles
