Only at first glance like last year's model: With a 250 gram lighter, well-made frame, ZEG's flagship Bulls saves a few grams. However, the equipment for the 2011 season has been slightly reduced. Instead of a Reba fork and XT hubs, Bulls has opted for cheaper components for its balanced touring hardtail, which is noticeable in the overall weight (11.95 kilos). On long downhills, the brakes are Formulas RX brakes with large discs - a good choice. Thanks to the high-quality tyre combination and lightweight wheels, the Bulls climbed well on the gravel ramp of our test lap. On the downhills, the bike lacks a little composure, creating uncertainty on the twisty, rough trail sections. This is due to the race cockpit with its long stem and narrow handlebars.
ConclusionTouring all-rounder with decent equipment.
Tuning tip: shorter stem, wider handlebars.
+ High-quality frame
