Compared to last year, the ZEG giant has gone one better and given its Copperhead a Reba fork with Poploc levers and a complete XT groupset. The well thought-out mix of parts on the elegant, stiff and light frame (1617 grams) brings the total weight down to an impressive 11.15 kilos with pedals. No other bike can follow the Copperhead uphill - the robust but light wheels (3991 grams) secure the lead as soon as you accelerate. The bike shows no weaknesses downhill either. The Schwalbe tyres in the expensive Evolution version provide good grip, the Formula stoppers with their large discs bite hard, and the Reba fork can also cope with fast speeds on demanding trails.
PLUS Elegant frame, high-quality XT groupset, best fork + tyres

Conclusion: superior test winner thanks to the flawless equipment. More bike is hardly possible at this price.
