As you would expect from ZEG's flagship Bulls, the "Buschmeister" has nothing to hide from its mail-order competitors in terms of weight and equipment.

A complete XT groupset takes care of the drivetrain, while the Fox 32 absorbs the bumps on the Olympic mountain trail. If you grab the bull by the wide 750 mm riser bar, you immediately notice the compact, fairly upright riding position. However, the extra-long chainstays (452 mm) keep the front wheel on the ground on ramps. Bulls plays it safe with the two 180 mm brake discs, and the triple cranks (40/30/22 teeth) offer the rider the right gear for any terrain. Bulls combines its own rims with XT hubs, resulting in stiff, durable wheels. Only thru-axles and a solid chainstay protector are missing on the 10.8-kilo bike.

ConclusionLight, stiff and superbly equipped: The Bushmaster from Bulls is one of the best in its class - despite its unconventional geometry and high front end.

PLUS Very good equipment, 180 mm brake discs
MINUS 350 seatpost only, high cockpit
