But at 1230 grams, the BMC frame leads the test field and saves half a kilo compared to the aluminium competition. The fact that the Teamelite didn't achieve the best times in the 24-hour race is due to the component mix, which puts pressure on the weight and can't keep up with Cube, Rose & Co. But it's not so bad: the SLX groupset, groupless Shimano stoppers and the Fox 32 Evolution fork work perfectly. However, the saddle of the Teamelite doesn't give you too much of a racing feeling. This is due to the heavy wheels (4230 g). Downhill, you have to get used to the short 70 mm stem, which makes the handling very agile. But if you're thinking of tuning later, you can't go wrong with the great BMC frame.
ConclusionThe Teamelite TE02 benefits from its impressive frame, but is a little weaker in terms of equipment. Perfect for beginners who want to upgrade bit by bit later on.
PLUS Lightweight & elegant frame, tidy cockpit
MINUS Weak equipment, heavy wheels
