The hardtail is experiencing a revival at Ghost. According to Ghost marketing man Maxi Dickerhoff, you don't need a complicated rear triangle to have fun on the trail. With modern geometry, a little more suspension travel at the front and wide tyres, the new aluminium Askets should be the perfect companion for trail adventures.
There will be a total of four models of the aluminium Asket. Two each with 27.5" and two with 29" wheels. All models will be equipped with telescopic seatposts, simple drivetrains and, of course, high-quality tyres, depending on the area of use. The Asket should therefore be the perfect bike for everything from racing to pump track sessions.
With the new Roket, Ghost is fully embracing the current bikepacking trend. The frame of the Asket is equipped with 27.5+ tyres. The suspension travel remains the same at 130 millimetres, but in combination with the wide tyres it should provide more safety and riding comfort off-road. Depending on your preference, Ghost offers the Roket with a 2x11 SLX or 1x11 XT drivetrain.
The special highlight of the Backcountry series is the Roket X, the ultimate carefree bike with Pinion drive and a specially developed bag system. The saddle, frame and handlebar bag are already included in the price of the top model. The two cheaper models Roket 8 and Roket 5 can of course be upgraded with the practical panniers.
