What RAAW is doing here is actually clever: the V3.2 is for high-tech enthusiasts who want to refine their setup down to the smallest detail. The R is for everyone else - the vast majority who just want to sit on it and ride off. A proven all-round carefree platform, 165 millimetres of travel, mullet option and only 2090 euros for the frame kit. Sounds like a tasty offer! Unfortunately, the entry-level price for the complete bike is still high for an aluminium bike. I'm curious to see how it performs on the trail. - Max Fuchs, BIKE test editor
RAAW is celebrating its tenth birthday in 2026 - and is launching a version of the Madonna aluminium enduro bike that brings the brand's original mission back to the fore: A bike that is fast, balanced and uncomplicated. While the Madonna V3.2 is clearly aimed at setup freaks with its toolbox concept, two rocker levers and wide range of customisation options, the Madonna R is aimed at riders who simply want to ride. Fewer screws. More trails.
RAAW doesn't shake up the basic recipe. The four-bar rear suspension delivers 165 mm of travel with 28 % progression - sensitive at the start, enough support for hard impacts. A 64° head angle, low bottom bracket, high stack and 480 mm reach in size L (size-dependent chainstays included) ensure the central, confident riding position that has always characterised the Madonna.
New: A flip chip on the lower shock mount makes it easy to switch between 29er and mullet set-up (27.5" rear). Suspension forks with 170 millimetres of travel are used at the front. Available in sizes M to XL.
| Characteristic value | Value (size L) |
| Rear suspension travel | 165 mm |
| Front suspension travel (fork) | 170 mm |
| Steering angle | 64° |
| Reach | 480 mm |
| Progression rear triangle | 28 % |
| Wheel size | 29" / Mullet (27.5" h) |
| Available sizes | M, L, XL |
RAAW shares almost all hardware components between the Madonna models - double-sealed bearings, external cable routing and UDH compatibility (for modern direct-mount rear derailleurs) are therefore also standard on the R.
The frame protection is lavish: A 5 mm thick rubber down tube protector across the entire width, a chainstay protector that also integrates the cable routing, covers on the seat and chainstays as well as precisely cut protective films for the exposed frame surfaces. Anyone who wants to keep their bike looking presentable for years to come will appreciate this.
RAAW works closely with Fox and Öhlins to harmonise kinematics and dampers. Both brands are available as air and steel spring versions. If you don't want to set up the bike yourself, simply state your riding weight (including equipment) at checkout and RAAW will adjust the suspension before despatch. Comprehensive setup guides are also available - far beyond the standard recommendations, according to the manufacturer.
The Madonna R is available to order now, with deliveries starting in mid-May 2026. In addition to the standard colours Raw and Black, there is also a limited red edition for the anniversary celebrations - a tribute to the first Madonna from 2016.
