E-mountain bikes from Giant

In addition to the Full-E series, which has been expanded to include an equipment variant (Full-E 2), the newly developed Talon E+ hardtail series will be available for 2015. In contrast to its bigger brother, the hardtail is not being launched with a mid-motor but with a SyncDrive rear motor (250W, 40 Nm). The top model is damped by a Rock Shox Recon 30 Gold and powered by a Shimano XT/Deore combination. Price: 2599.90 euros.

Giant Full-E 0: Giant's top model in the E-Fully sector in 2015 will be the Full-E 0. The 27.5-inch e-all-mountain bike will be launched with an X01-1x11 drivetrain and a lowerable Rock Shox Revelation with 110-140 millimetres at the front as well as a Rock Shox Monarch RL rear shock. The Yamaha mid-motor delivers an output of 80 Nm with a 500 watt battery pack. Price: 5299.90 euros.

Giant Full-E 1: The one in the name of the Giant Full-E1 E all-mountain bike does not stand for the most expensive model in this case, but for the mid-range. Like the top model, it is powered by a Syncdrive C Yamaha mid-motor, which, equipped with a 500-watt battery pack, delivers 80 Nm. For 3699.90 euros, buyers get a Shimano XT/SLX combination. In contrast to the seat post, which has a drop of 100 millimetres, the Rock Shox Revelation fork with a travel of 140 millimetres cannot be lowered.

Giant Full-E 2: The most affordable of the three E-All-Mountain bikes from Giant, the Full-E 2 is equipped with a Shimano Deore XT Shadow Plus drivetrain and a Suntour Epicon TR LO-R with 140 millimetres of travel. The visible differences compared to the more expensive models are the lack of a dropper post and the slightly cheaper equipment. The frame and the mid-motor from Yamaha with 250 watts and a 500WH battery pack are identical. The price will be 2999.99 euros next year.

Giant Talon E+ 0: Giant is also sticking with motor manufacturer Yamaha in the e-hardtail segment. The motor of the Talon E+ 0 is connected to the rear wheel hub and delivers 40 Nm with a 500 Wh battery pack placed on the down tube. The 27.5-inch e-hardtail will be available with a Shimano Deore XT 2x10 drivetrain and a Rock Shox 30 Gold with 100 millimetre suspension travel. Price: 2599.90 euros

Giant Talon E+ 1: The Talon E+ 1 will cost €1999.90 in 2015. It comes with Shimano Deore 3x9 gears combined with Shimano Altus 355 brakes. The suspension fork is an SR Suntour XCR with 100 millimetres of travel. The Yamaha rear hub motor is powered by a slightly weaker 400 Wh battery pack.
