The Hungarians have five equipment variants of the Asgard in their programme alone. However, the bike reaches its limits on our demanding test lap. This is mainly due to weaknesses in the suspension and the rather narrow tyres. Uphill, the long gear ratio in combination with the Bosch Performance Cruise and the small 400 Wh battery limit the maximum climbing performance. This positions the Asgard primarily as a tourer in moderate terrain with a pleasantly neutral riding position.
Conclusion The comparatively inexpensive Asgard is an unspectacular tourer. The frame is well made, the equipment could be of better quality.
