What do you long for most at this time of year? Early sunrises, warm rays of sunshine and hours of flow fun on the bike! Mountain bike fans will have to wait until 2 June until the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis bike park opens its doors for the new season and the forest railway starts up again. But you can start dreaming! In a new clip, Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis awakens the anticipation of carefree trail enjoyment on the Frommestrail, which will be accessible from 15 June:

The Frommestrail is the flagship when it comes to trail descents in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. Riders conquer over 1000 metres in altitude while experiencing 9 kilometres of pure trail enjoyment. From 15 June, the Schönjochbahn in Fiss will once again take mountain bikers up to an altitude of around 2,440 metres. After a small ascent of 60 metres in altitude, a paradisiacal descent opens up from the Schönjochkreuz.

The Frommestrail is a natural trail that is characterised by a lot of flow and winds its way through alpine terrain and spruce forests interspersed with roots. To ensure that trail enjoyment does not turn into trail frustration, you should make sure you have the right equipment at the start. In addition to a spare inner tube, air pump and multitool, this also includes food, protectors and a jacket so that it doesn't get too chilly on the long descent of around 2,400 metres above sea level.

Parts of the descent, such as the first section from Schönjochkreuz to the reservoir, are marked as a shared trail with yellow signs. Therefore, despite all the riding fun, you should also keep an eye out for other mountain users as you set off on your bike towards breathtaking views. In these passages, it is advisable to slow down a little and exercise caution, especially in places that are a little confusing, so that you don't surprise any pedestrians.

How do you like this article?

The Frommestrail is a challenging single trail with an impressive mountain backdrop that lies between S1 and S3 on the single trail scale. Clear signs are in place so that both bikers and hikers can enjoy the landscape undisturbed. While MTB-only trails are marked with blue posts, hikers should stick to the red and white striped markings. Nothing stands in the way of shredding fun here. At crossroads such as "Schwarzmoos", riders should look ahead and watch out for potential pedestrians before accelerating any further.

The section at the Frommeshütte presents mountain bikers with the greatest challenge and is labelled with the highest level of difficulty, S3. However, there is also the option of bypassing this section. The route then leads gently downhill along a forest path back to the starting point in Fiss, where riders can head back towards the Schönjochkreuz. In addition to the bike park ticket, a bike transport card is also required. This costs 10 euros for adults (8 euros for young people) and is available at all ticket offices at the valley stations in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis.

So if you want to give yourself a full dose of flow this summer, you should make your way to Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis from 2 June. In addition to the Frommestrail, there are several other trails in the bike park, which you can preview here in a virtual trail map: www.bikepark-sfl.at/virtuelle-trailmap
