Pulling off without a second thought: The Mondraker gives you plenty of confidence - even on the road gap on the World Cup DH in Schladming with its tricky approach.

The Mondraker Summum is characterised by a first-class chassis, a racy geo and clever details. However, the Summum has an impressive price tag.

To search for speed with the World Cup bike from Brook MacDonald and David Trummer, you have to put 10,000 euros (!) on the counter. In return, the Spaniards offer high-quality components, an elegant carbon chassis and many adjustment options. The chainstays can be trimmed to three lengths 450, (455, 460 mm). The steering angle is also adjustable with three headset shells. Gadget fans will be delighted with the Mind system: sensors on the fork bridge and rear triangle record, for example, the number of jumps, utilisation of the suspension travel, punches, riding time and average speed. The app is also intended to provide setup improvements.

We relied on our bum metre, and it went through the roof straight away. The bike spoils the rider with comfort and traction - even when the track swings the stick. The zero-suspension system works extremely sensitively, but also skilfully filters out fast, hard hits, allowing plenty of speed. In turns, the long Summum with its stubby stem requires more physical effort than the competition. On the jump track, the bike surprised us with nice counter-pressure and pop. The seatpost shouldn't be dropped too low, otherwise the saddle will rub against the rear wheel. We would have liked to have tried the Mullet version.

Conclusion on the Mondraker Summum Carbon RR:

You can't get much more of an ironing machine than this. The Summum has a first-class chassis, a racy geo and clever details. A consistent racer that is also fun in the park.

Stefan Garlicki (height: 1.84 m):

The suspension is not particularly progressive. This suits the bike well, as it remains sensitive and active on fast hits. A longer stem and the rear end in the long setting ... and I am ready to race!
