Test duel: An eye for an eye
In DH sport, Nicolas Vouilloz (nickname: "The Extraterrestrial") has left his mark with a scent that lingers to this day: the Morewood "Makulu" with its BOS suspension smells of victory and the Lapierre "DH 920" exudes a hint of "eau de e.t.".
Apply the brakes and then lean in until the grip almost scrapes the ground. Because DH handlebars nowadays tend to be as wide as Arnie's shoulder section, the near-ground contact works even on smaller berms: FREERIDE tester Christian Schleker in a cornering frenzy.Photo: Colin Stewart Apply the brakes and then lean in until the grip almost scrapes the ground. Life consists of compromises. You have to make compromises all the time: At work, with your girlfriend - and as a freerider anyway. After all, we are all-in-one riders: uphill with (our last bit of) muscle power and then downhill like Sam Hill. Unfortunately, we need two-wheeled "all-rounders" for this, which are usually so-so uphill and not really Samhill-ish downhill. It's a cross. So let's put an end to it, because if you don't compromise, you'll get down faster!
