Stealth fighter: Radon Jab 9.0
The Jab charmed me with its crazy weight (12.9 kg) and its pronounced playfulness. It really tempts me to take every bend with maximum lean angle and pull off at every edge of the terrain.

Super! Nevertheless, it has plenty of suspension travel: 160 millimetres at the front and rear. And then there's the look. Carbon fibre in its most masculine form. Angular and angular like a stealth fighter. Reason for the BIKE readers to choose it as Bike of the Year 2018, reason for me to recruit the Jab as my long-term tester. The suspension elements are very easy to operate - and can be stabilised for uphills with two quick grips. Ideal for long mountain tours in the Bavarian Alps. I reeled off a few of these in the summer of 2018 - the Jab really came into its own on the mostly very technical mountain trails.

The only technical defect so far: the rear triangle got some play. You can read about how the lightweight Enduro copes with bike park abuse in one of the next issues.
