The race model of the Cube TWO15 is the second cheapest in the range. The equipment is good: GX drivetrain, Magura brakes, Marzocchi suspension. In past tests, the aluminium bike has convinced us as a park bike as well as a race bike. For 800 euros more, you can get the HPC in 29 inches, with a carbon frame and Fox suspension.
The Franconian mail order company currently only offers its YT Tues downhill bike in the Core 2 and Core 4 versions. This means that there is currently no price breaker under 3000 euros. However, the Core 2 comes with powerful Rockshox suspension, an aluminium frame with 27.5-inch wheels and proven Code R brakes. Price: 3499 Euro.
The aluminium big bike from Andorra has already impressed us in the past. The equipment of the Commencal FRS is consistently trimmed for park, except for the rather weak brakes: Sram Guide RE. For 1000 euros more, you can get the Essential model with Fox Performance suspension and TRP brakes.
Great added value at Propain: you can put together the components yourself using the online configurator. The entry-level model of the Propain Rage comes with Rockshox suspension, Formula Cura 4 brakes and a Sram GX drivetrain. The customer can choose between All-29 or Mullet, and there is currently no aluminium model.
The Sender downhill bike is currently only available in carbon fibre. The Koblenz-based mail order company therefore recommends this pimped-up version of the Torque freerider to its bike park fans. Here, the Rockshox Boxxer Select is in the head tube, with the SuperDeluxe Select steel spring shock absorber at the rear. The rest of the equipment looks well thought out. In short, the mullet bike scores highly in terms of price/performance. Oh yes, super shredder Kaos Seagrave had a hand in the design. We say: a matter of taste.
