The sequel, which has been redesigned from the ground up, allows players to play in portrait format. The power to dominate races is in the palm of your hand. Another major improvement in the new version is the amazingly realistic, sharp 3D graphics, which not only reproduce the environment, landscapes and the look of downhill and slopestyle courses, but also depict the riders' body movements and flow extremely realistically.
"When we started working on Bike Unchained 2, we decided from the beginning to listen to the opinions of the players who had already played the first version. We knew that Bike Unchained was well received, but players wanted the game to be more realistic. It made sense for us to design the sequel in such a way that the game is as graphically realistic as possible, creating a game experience that allows beginners and advanced riders to feel the excitement of biking," emphasises Pekka Kupiainen, producer of Bike Unchained 2.
"We also wanted to make sure that everyone who worked on the game experienced this enthusiasm first-hand. At Red Bull we have access to the best mountain bikers in the world, so we teamed up with Finnish downhill legend Matti Lehikoinen. He was highly motivated to share his experience on the bike with our product developers to create the most realistic game yet. We all had the same goal, to be able to say at some point: 'Yes, this is the adrenaline rush we imagined'. Of course, this experience has brought the team even closer together."
In real life, sharing experiences with others also plays a central role in biking. Bike Unchained 2 builds on this premise: In each race, you compete against real opponents. You can compete against other shredders from all over the world in live competitions and events. You can also invite your friends to join your own league to show them who's boss.
