Biking is more popular than ever before! It's not just the increasing sales of bike manufacturers reaching the limits of their capacity that are an indication of the two-wheeler boom. The Gravity Card is also celebrating the end of its season this year with a new visitor record. The decisive factor for the new record may be the significantly expanded offer of some bike parks, such as Schladming and Brandnertal, but also the expansion of the offer to include more enduro. On the other hand, the special Covid-19 regulations with return and refund options were hardly utilised despite the shortened season. In the coming 2021 season, the Gravity Card will be celebrating another new addition: the Kitzski Trails area, which boasts routes of all levels of difficulty and further enhances the existing and wide range of routes, will become number 22 in the network.
The Gravity Card not only looks back on a new visitor record, but also on the best-selling cards in a season to date. The special corona regulation introduced due to the ongoing pandemic offered Gravity Card purchasers a staggered refund in the event of corona-related bike park closures or severely delayed bike park openings, but this option was practically not utilised. In order to make the coming season as flexible as possible, this special regulation will nevertheless continue to apply in 2021.
With a total of 170 trails and 21 bike parks and enduro areas in six countries, this year's Gravity Card network was more varied than ever before - fast flow trails, technical downhill routes and fat jump lines made gravity hearts beat faster. The expanded range of parks, such as the new flow and jumptrails in the Brandnertal and Schladming bike parks, managed to increase the number of bike park visits. The significantly expanded enduro offer has also made the Gravity Card attractive to a new target group.
A new addition to the line-up for the coming season is the Bike area Kitzskiwhich boasts over 20 kilometres of the finest single trails. The four different routes "Fleckalm Trail", "Bike Trail Hahnenkamm", "Lisi Osl Trail" and the "Gaisberg Trail", which are spread across the towns of Kitzbühel and Kirchberg, ensure varied biking enjoyment for all ages and skill levels.
Kornel Grundner, spokesperson for Gravity Parks, is more than positive about the season: "With a slightly delayed start to the season, our main aim was to minimise losses as far as possible. However, with Covid-19 prevention concepts and measures such as our special refund scheme, we also wanted to accommodate card holders. The fact that we have not only achieved our goal, but have now even been able to celebrate our most successful season ever, naturally makes us all the more pleased. It also confirms to us that the 'expansion' towards enduro was the right way to go. With the new addition and the ever-expanding route network of the parks, we are very positive about the coming season."
The prices are staggered as follows: Adults: € 519, young people: € 390, children: € 252
