The Clash V3 deliberately sticks to the smaller wheel format.
The manufacturer from Andorra is pursuing a clear goal: direct handling instead of maximum smoothness. Fast direction changes, jumps and playful lines take centre stage. It is intended for use in the bike park and on technical descents.
A suspension fork with 180 mm travel works at the front. At the rear, 170 mm is available.
Commencal continues to rely on aluminium instead of carbon. The frame combines the alloys 6066 and 6061, which makes sense for such a shred machine. A freerider has to be able to take a beating.
The four-bar rear suspension was revised. The aim was less pedal kickback and more sensitive response behaviour. At the same time, the end progression should control hard landings.
The frame fulfils the EFBE Tri-Test 5 standard. This test confirms its suitability for extreme gravity use. But even without a certificate, you can tell that the bike can take a lot. After all, the big boys like Tomas Lemoine, Edgar Briole and Paul Couderc have already done everything you can expect a bike to do with the Clash.
