When Fabio Wibmer sets off on his own personal Tour de France, banger after banger follows. Steep and narrow alleyways, endless sets of stairs and mighty drops - the Austrian bike pro always takes the direct route. This time, "Urban Freeride Lives 3" takes him from Lyon to Paris, where he ends his trip to France in style at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. On the way, everything that gets in his way is sent. No mistakes are allowed here!
Fabio Wibmer has already proven several times in the past how much he lives for urban freeriding. In his latest video, the 24-year-old goes one better. Right at the beginning, Fabio crosses the infamous 25 Stairs in Lyon off his bucket list - a 4.5 metre high and 6.7 metre long set of stairs that has enjoyed fame in the skateboarding and action sports scene since Swedish skater Ali Boulala took it on in 2002. Finally standing on a skateboard in 2016, no-one on a big bike had ever tried it before Fabio.
Fabio's high-speed city trip continues without a breather: with a double escalator, a multiple staircase set on Montmartre and a gigantic drop from a bridge to an almost flat landing in the Parisian business district of "La Défense", Fabio explores the limits of what is possible.
And those were just the highlights...
"That was my sickest video yet. I had to take my riding to a whole new level and really pushed myself to the limit," admits Fabio: "Filming with the guys in France was great fun, of course, but it wasn't always easy. There were certainly one or two dicey situations." The effort was definitely worth it, because urban freeride is more alive than ever before. The proof is here:
