Cube may not have a completely new Stereo model to offer for 2022, but the Upper Palatinate company has worked on the details: A downhill-orientated EX version of the Stereo 120 and a frame update for the Stereo 170.

Balanced riding characteristics, good value for money and often lighter than the competition: the carbon version of the Cube Stereo 120 was not "BIKE of the Year 2020" in the trail bike category. For the 2022 model year, the Upper Palatinate-based Proven carbon frame (HPC) However, they are sending two new models into the race with the EX suffix. Similar to the TM version, Cube is also focussing on the downhill characteristics of the EX and comes with the new Fox 34 fork with Grip2 cartridge (130 mm). At the rear, a Fox Float X Factory shock with reservoir manages the 125 millimetres. Golden, 30 mm wide aluminium rims from Newmen and a Fox Transfer Factory-look dropper post (150 mm travel for M/L, 175 mm for XL) are on top. Cube uses Shimano XT brakes on this 29-inch trail bike: four pistons and a 203 mm disc at the front, two pistons and a 180 mm disc at the rear. For the drivetrain, Cube combines a Shimano XT/SLX mix with a carbon crank from Praxisworks. All in all, the € 3599 Stereo 120 HPC EX should be a tad more powerful and confident than the TM version. Price for the 2022 bike: 3599 euros. Weight: 13.3 kilos.

Cube Stereo 170 becomes Stereo ONE77 in 2022

It's not just the name that's changing for 2022: Cube has also revised the aluminium frame of the four-bar bike.
