Awesome piece: Devinci Wilson Carbon SL
If the Devinci were a woman, it would measure 90-60-90 - those curves, those shapes! Even a layman can see at first glance that this is a hot box.

Canadian Stevie Smith took overall victory in the 2013 World Cup on this bike. Success is known to be sexy. We experienced this at the bike park lift queue. Everyone stares as if we were Stevie Smith himself. Elegant carbon frame with a chic finish (the carbon fibres shimmer through the paint) - great! But the inner values are also right: Sit on it, feel good - that's how all the testers felt, Fischbach included.

Rare goods: Devinci is only now available to buy in Germany. In 2014, the "Wilson" still rolls on 26-inch wheels. In 2015, the overall World Cup winner will also be upgraded to 650B.Photo: Daniel Simon Rare goods: Devinci is only now available to buy in Germany. Striking: The suspension is precisely balanced, responds as smooth as butter and still has enough progression to avoid bottoming out in compressions or buckling after high drops. However, the rear suspension only really worked perfectly when we replaced the softer 300 series spring with a 400 series one. Remarkable: The Devinci is not the pure racer you would expect. It has freeride genes, is lively, agile and playful. Of course, you also feel damn fast on the "Wilson". Even through the choppy rocky sections of Spicak, it scurries nimbly and accelerates lively out of tight turns. Our celebrity tester Fischbach was impressed: "The suspension responds sensitively, but still has enormous reserves - top!" The Worldcupper set the fastest time on his home track - he was only faster on his trusty Ghost.

Conclusion: Great big bike with the highest "want-to-have" factor
FactorUnfortunately, we can't afford it.

Strengthsversatile, chassis, carbon look
Weaknesses: none

Johannes Fischbach (26): "Awesome thing! I felt damn fast on the Devinci. The suspension works great and I didn't even push the rear end to the limit on purpose. If I could choose a bike from the test, it would definitely be the 'Wilson'!"

Comfort miracle: The 300 series spring was too soft for us (75 kilos), we swapped it for a 400 series and were delighted with the comfortable, active suspension. Be sure to fit a chain guard!Photo: Daniel Simon Chain slap: The "Wilson" was loud - the chain drummed against the carbon swingarm and scratched the elegant finish. That hurt my soul. Born in South Baden, Laurin Lehner is, by his own admission, a lousy racer. Maybe that's why he is fascinated by creative, playful biking. What counts for him is not how fast you get from A to B, but what happens in between. Lehner writes reports, interviews scene celebrities and tests products and bikes - preferably those with a lot of suspension travel.
