The time has come! Large wheels will probably play an increasingly important role in the downhill segment in the future. In addition to Alutech (see photo), rumour has it that the German mail-order company Radon and the US brand Trek are also working on a 29-inch downhiller.

"We have probably created the first European downhill bike with 29" wheels and, if we are not mistaken, it is probably the first in the world," says Alutech boss Jürgen Schlender.
