Cube is recalling hybrid models 2026 with ACID Carbon Hybrid crank arms. There is a risk of breakage at the pedal mount.
Pending System GmbH & Co. KG is recalling all Cube Hybrid bikes from model year 2026 that are equipped with ACID Carbon Hybrid crank arms and were delivered before 8 May 2026. The reason is a possible failure of the crank arms in the pedal mount area.

The recall affects Models from the Stereo Hybrid, Reaction Hybrid, AMS Hybrid, Kathmandu Hybrid and Nuroad Hybrid series with ACID Carbon Hybrid crankarms in lengths of 160 mm, 165 mm, 170 mm and 175 mm. The crank arms can suddenly fail in the pedal mount area. This leads to an increased risk of accidents with possible falls and serious injuries. The recall applies to all frame sizes. Use must be discontinued immediately.

Three variants of the Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC Series 2026 are affected:

  • Stereo Hybrid ONE44 HPC AT 800 actionteam (102810)

The Stereo Hybrid ONE77 HPC Series 2026 also includes three affected models:

  • Stereo Hybrid ONE77 HPC TM 800 reedgreen'n'matrix (103400)
  • Stereo Hybrid ONE77 HPC AT 800 carbon'n'gold (103500 )
  • Stereo Hybrid ONE77 HPC AT 800 actionteam (103510)

Two models of the Reaction Hybrid 2026 series are affected by the recall:

  • Reaction Hybrid SLT 800 reedbeige'n'sagebrushgreen (108700)
  • Reaction Hybrid SLT 800 hazeblue'n'fume (108710)

There are five affected bikes in the 2026 AMS Hybrid models:

  • AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:62 Pro 400X blackline (104020),
  • AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:62 Race 400X reedbeige'n'black (104050),
  • AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X SLX 400X nebula'n'black (104100),
  • AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X TM 400X reedgreen'n'matrix (104200) and
  • AMS Hybrid 177 C:62 TM 600X reedgreen'n'matrix (105200).

The Kathmandu Hybrid C:62 Series 2026 is affected in two models:

All frame sizes of the models mentioned are subject to the recall.

Immediate measures and review

Use of the affected bikes must be discontinued immediately. Further use is prohibited until the crank arms have been checked and replaced. The inspection and replacement may only be carried out by qualified persons, such as Cube dealers or authorised specialist dealers.

There you can find out whether your own bike is affected by the recall. The affected crank arms must be replaced before further use.
