Although it has a larger battery and also travelled significantly slower than the competition, the efficiency of 60.9% is impressive. On the steering side, the testers were annoyed by the motor's overrun and the long interruption in shifting. On the geometry side, there is little to criticise about the Renegade. The front sits quite low with the narrow handlebars, which affects the comfort rating. The rest of the equipment is of a good standard: Rock Shox suspension, Shimano brakes and a remote seat post in the seat tube. The suspension works inconspicuously, the limiting factor for riding fun both uphill and downhill were the tyres.
CONCLUSIONIf you want maximum range, you can't get past the Univega endurance climber. It loses points in terms of riding performance.

EMTB judgement SATISFACTORY / 179 points 2)
1) Manufacturer's specification
2) EMTB judgement: super (from 225 points), very good (from 205 points), good (from 185 points), satisfactory (from 165 points), with weaknesses (from 145 points), below insufficient.
The judgement reflects the subjective impression of the testers and the results of the range measurement and laboratory tests. It is independent of price.
