Audi launches strictly limited E-MTB
Many companies consider exclusivity to be the key to success. That's why there are only 100 of the new Audi e-tron e-mountainbike.

Together with Haibike, Audi is launching a cross-country bike with e-assistance. The Ingolstadt-based company is utilising the carbon frame of the Haibike FullSeven. This offers 120 millimetres of suspension travel and accommodates 27.5-inch wheels. The Audi e-MTB is powered by the tried-and-tested Bosch Performance CX motor. The Audi e-tron also has a 500 Wh battery and a large Nyon display.

Munich graphic designers were asked to go to the drawing board to create a sporty design. To ensure that the Audi driver sits comfortably, the carbon saddle from Selle Italia was covered with original Audi fine nappa seat leather from the R8.

The rest of the equipment is also impressive: The lightweight suspension comes from DT Swiss. An OPM O.D.L. 120 Race suspension fork damps at the front and an X313 carbon rear shock. The wheels also come from the DT Swiss factory: XMC 1200 Spline wheels with carbon rims should ensure light-footed handling. Shimano's XTR Di2 shifts the eleven gears, while Magura's MT8 provides the necessary braking power.

With this sophisticated equipment, Audi claims to have achieved a weight of just 18.2 kilograms for its E-MTB. But the exclusivity also comes at a price: at 15300 euros, the Audi e-tron will tear a big hole in your wallet.
