The Haibike AllMtn 9.5 CF ABS combines 160 mm travel at the front with 150 mm at the rear - in a stylish full carbon chassis. The mullet wheel mix with a larger 29-inch wheel at the front is designed to improve traction on the climbs and control on the descents. Rockshox suspension elements meet Continental tyres. The Shimano Deore XT Di2 shifts electronically between 12 gears and also offers the option of an automatic function that changes gears automatically. In combination with the Bosch motor, this is a new feature.
The Bosch Performance CX motor (tested here) can operate with 100 Nm torque and up to 750 W of power after the performance update. The removable 800 Wh battery can be extended by a further 250 Wh using a range extender in all sizes. The frame concept with a rotated motor enables a closed down tube with a removable battery. This design is intended to ensure a torsion-resistant main frame and centralised weight distribution - without sacrificing the luxury of battery removal.
The Bosch eBike ABS Pro is designed to enable more precise braking manoeuvres on loose surfaces and during sudden braking manoeuvres and prevent the front wheel from slipping or locking. It works really well, as our detailed test of the Bosch ABS Pro has shown. The system was developed for demanding trails and high speeds. A new feature is that the Bosch ABS is also available in combination with the popular Shimano brakes.
The AllMtn CF 9 uses the same carbon frame with Bosch Performance Line CX. With 160 mm travel at the front and 150 mm at the rear, it offers the same suspension travel and the Mullet set-up also remains the same. The SRAM S1000 AXS transmission replaces the Shimano drivetrain - but also shifts electronically via radio. RockShox Lyrik Base and Continental Kryptotal tyres are part of the equipment. The model is available in two colour variants and is slightly cheaper at 7199 euros >> available here.
The Haibike AllMtn is the smaller sibling of the more downhill Hybe, which has a little more suspension travel. Both Haibike models have the high-quality carbon frame and the Bosch drive in common. The AllMtn is the better choice for touring and moderate trails. And with the Bosch ABS, the Schweinfurt-based company has an exciting feature to match. However, the price for the 9.5 model is steep. The favourable Rockshox suspension and the cheap wheels do not look good on a bike for 8000 euros. That's probably the price for the high-quality carbon frame.
