A self-inflating tyre and electronic MTB components: The Eurobike Awards traditionally recognise the most innovative and creative new products. The 2019 award winners at a glance.

This year there were a total of 43 winners: 14 of these products were honoured with a special award, nine received the coveted Gold Award and five young companies received the Start-Up Award.

The specialist jury consisted of six industry experts from the various sectors: Media, Design, Retail and Industry. In a two-stage evaluation process, they selected the best and most innovative products at Eurobike 2019 from. Here we present all the winners of the Eurobike Gold and Start-Up Awards:

GOLD AWARD WINNER - Fox Live Valve Manufacturer: Fox With its automatic electronic suspension, Fox wants to take the operation of suspension elements to a new level. Statement from the Eurobike Award jury: "A smart system that analyses the terrain and quickly changes the suspension settings. Tried and tested at the highest level. The convincingly designed system makes it easier to adjust the components. AirWinder has set itself the task of eliminating this problem - with a tyre that inflates itself automatically. Statement from the Eurobike Award jury: "Far too many bikes are ridden with under-inflated tyres. This product improves safety and protects bikers. A perfect anti-theft device for short-term parkers, as many people remove the display anyway. The versatility of the front and rear carriers, which can accommodate modular accessories such as baskets, is also clever. START-UP AWARD WINNER - Bike Box Manufacturer: Bike Box Bike cases are huge and expensive, so the founder of the South African company has found a solution: the Bike Box. Statement from the Eurobike Award jury: "This solution for bike transport offers more protection than many alternatives that cost three to four times as much. The system is suitable for MTBs and racing bikes and can be extended to protect certain particularly sensitive parts.
