Women Who Rise
A film designed to inspire women to embark on their first cycling adventure: Ortlieb and Rose Bikes are taking “Women Who Rise” on tour in winter 2026/27. Following the 1.5-hour film, the programme will be rounded off with a Q&A session and a bikepacking workshop for beginners.

The focus is on travelling together: the film “Women Who Rise – Bikepacking Overnighter” follows a group of women on their first bike trip together. A total of six screenings from November to January, spread across the whole of Germany, aim to bring people together and encourage them to try something new – in this case, embarking on their own adventure on two wheels.

At the tour stops, it’s not just about watching. Following the one-and-a-half-hour film screening, participants in the project share their experiences and answer questions from the audience. A practical workshop covers the basics for your first overnight cycle tour. The programme includes changing tyres, packing tips, equipment, Route planning and the Choosing the right bike.

Sebastian Brust was born in 1979 and was originally socialised on his grandmother's folding bike, but has mainly been riding studded tyres since his fifth birthday. Loves all kinds of bikes - and merging with nature. Believes that disc brakes are much safer today than they were 15 years ago and thinks he has helped with his brake and pad tests. However, the trained vehicle technology engineer very much regrets that the bicycle industry is orientating itself on what he considers to be the wrong ideals of the car industry. At BIKE, he corrects, produces and organises digital content on the website.
