For 30 years, Norwid has been building sophisticated "bicycles for velosophiles", as owner Rudolf Pallesen puts it, in his north German steel workshop. The high standards and craftsmanship are reflected in the price level. In order to be able to offer Norwid bikes below the premium price range, the "Lofoten" series was created in co-operation with the Czech frame manufacturer Fort. Fort welds the frames and forks in this series to Norwid specifications at a lower price than Norwid could do itself.
The Norwid Maribo from this line is designed as a city racer and is a fine example of the new concept. The frame and fork are perfectly finished. The traditionalist Norwid DNA is reflected in the slim tube diameters, horizontal top tube, narrow tyres, agile steering and sporty, confident handling. The Norwid Maribo is given a touch of hipness by the matt black stealth look and chic, highly stable aluminium plates with integrated luggage rack. Its high cockpit ensures relaxed, sporty seating, excellent handling and a good overview in traffic.
