Mondraker entrusted us with the Arid gravel bike for testing last November. The Dusty had already convinced us - the MTB experts can also build agile and fast gravel bikes. And tester Jan came to the same conclusion about the Arid last autumn:
The new Mondraker Arid gravel bike leaves an absolutely convincing impression. We particularly liked the balanced riding position, the uncomplicated handling and the comfortable frame flex. Small details such as the luggage holders and the storage compartment in the down tube are great details that are absolutely brilliant for everyday use and longer rides. The mountain bike specialists have done a really good job on the gravel bike. - Jan Timmermann, BIKE test editor

Now comes the news from the Mondraker command centre in Elche, Spain: the Arid models have been given new colours.
In the 2024 test the Mondraker Arid proved to be a comfortable and versatile gravel bike. The riding position offers a good compromise between sportiness and comfort. With a weight of 9.0 kilograms in size XL, the bike is easy to accelerate. The flex in the rear triangle and seat post is clearly noticeable and effectively filters out small bumps and vibrations. The geometry with a 70 degree steering angle ensures balanced handling between smoothness and agility. When cornering, the Arid is lively and can be steered precisely. The rather short seat tube in combination with the longer reach offers plenty of freedom of movement when standing, which is particularly favourable for mountain bikers.
