The name Cezal refers to a region in central France with long gravel tracks and challenging routes. The new G85 gravel bike from Look is designed for such rough terrain. The bike can take tyres up to 50 millimetres wide, the preparation for a suspension fork and an integrated storage compartment are further ingredients for a progressive adventure gravel bike. The bike should also work with smaller 650B wheels. The frame allows for single and double drivetrains, but with two chainrings and a front derailleur, the maximum tyre width is reduced to 45 millimetres.
Riding fun and versatility should not be neglected, Look positions the bike as a balanced all-rounder between a crisp racer and specialised bikepacking adventurer. A T47 bottom bracket and UDH derailleur hanger are part of the modern equipment. The storage compartment in the down tube holds an included bag for tools. The brake lines run from the cockpit completely through the frame.
LOOK claims that short chainstays and a compact wheelbase should enable fast cornering. According to the manufacturer, the stack and reach allow different cockpit settings from comfortable to sporty. The French have not yet communicated a geometry table or more detailed information on the sizes, so we are not yet able to assess the riding behaviour and riding position.
The standard equipment includes a classic clamp stem with a Deda SuperZero Gravel handlebar made of aluminium with 31.8 mm clamping. The combination enables fully internal cable routing. As an option, LOOK offers a (very expensive) aero carbon cockpit for 790 euros. This system weighs 200 grams less than the standard combination and offers a sportier position with a 13° stem angle.
Three equipment variants are being launched, two of them with carbon rims from Fulcrum and electronic gears from SRAM (Force 1x13) or Shimano (GRX Di2 2x12). The cheapest version comes with a mechanical 1x12 gearbox from Shimano and aluminium wheels. A frameset is also available, priced at 2490 euros. The official market launch will take place on 16 April 2026 at the Sea Otter Classic in California.
