At Tout Terrain, touring and travelling suitability is always in the specification. To a certain extent, the bikes are designed around the integrated pannier rack. The Blueridge therefore also shouldered our test luggage of 22 kilos effortlessly. The steel frame is designed for practicality, solidity and durability, but is also elegant. Its eccentric bottom bracket and the separable sandwich dropouts allow for an alternative setup with hub gears and belt drive.
The GRX derailleur gearing gets the robust tourer moving quickly, and even longer uphill and downhill stretches with luggage can be mastered with ease. The in-house carbon fork offers some flex comfort and securely mounts a bikepacking rack thanks to sophisticated mounting technology. Here too, 12 mm thru-axles stiffen the chassis. For such a solid construction, the total weight of 14 kilos is also quite low. The Tout Terrain Blueridge rolls smoothly, with a relaxed riding position and handles demanding commuter routes just as well as a long-distance tour with luggage, even on easy terrain.
